NDIS Service Agreements

Where supports are funded through the NDIS, a written service agreement sets out the supports, hours, pricing and review arrangements.

We cannot guarantee that a support will be funded. Please check your plan and speak with your plan manager or the NDIA before services begin.

Child Safe Policy and Procedures

From the Start is committed to the safety, wellbeing and rights of every child and young person. We have zero tolerance for abuse, harm or neglect, and we follow the National Principles for Child Safe Organisations.

Jodie holds a current Queensland Working with Children Check (Blue Card) and takes part in ongoing professional learning in child safeguarding.

Children's voices matter. We listen to children, respect their boundaries and comfort, and never force or pressure a child to take part. We see behaviour as communication and adjust support to each child's sensory, emotional and communication needs.

A parent or carer is present or close by during sessions with children, unless another arrangement has been agreed in writing. Online sessions use secure video platforms, and records are stored securely and confidentially.

We welcome and respect children and families of all cultures, abilities and backgrounds, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families, culturally and linguistically diverse families, and disabled and neurodivergent children.

If we have reasonable grounds to believe a child is being harmed or is at risk of harm, we will act promptly. This may include reporting to Queensland Child Safety Services, the Queensland Police Service and, where relevant, the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission.

Anyone, including a child, parent, carer or professional, can raise a child safety concern with us by phone, email or the contact form, and it will be taken seriously. If a child is in immediate danger, call 000. You can also contact Child Safety Services, the Queensland Family and Child Commission, or Kids Helpline on 1800 55 1800.

Complaints and Feedback

If something has not gone well, we would like to hear about it. Please contact us and we will respond within five business days.

You may also raise concerns about NDIS supports with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission.
